Choosing a diluent

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with a small amount of benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which makes it the standard diluent for most freeze-dried peptides. A few peptides, such as IGF-1 LR3 and AOD-9604, are usually reconstituted in a dilute acetic acid solution instead, which is what our acetic acid reconstitution solution is for. Read more in what is bacteriostatic water and the best BAC water for peptides. Need it quickly? See our guide to fast BAC water shipping.

Measuring

The EasyTouch 1 mL insulin syringes are U-100, so 100 units equal 1 mL. The peptide calculator converts any amount into syringe units for any vial size and volume of water.

The PSPen

The PSPen takes 3 mL refill cartridges and 31G 8 mm pen tips, as an alternative to vials and syringes.

Handling and storage

Alcohol prep pads clean the vial top before each use. For how long a vial keeps once opened, see bacteriostatic water expiration and our peptide storage guide.

FAQ

Bacteriostatic water or acetic acid: which do I need?

Bacteriostatic water, for almost every peptide. Use acetic acid only where the product page says so, as it does for IGF-1 LR3 and AOD-9604.

What size syringe do I need?

A 1 mL U-100 insulin syringe suits the vial sizes we sell. The peptide calculator converts any amount into syringe units.

Can I order supplies with my peptides?

Yes, add them to the same order. Shipping is free on every order, with free UPS 2nd Day Air over $200. Our peptide supplies list covers what you'll need.

How long does an opened vial of bacteriostatic water last?

Our guide to bacteriostatic water expiration covers how long it keeps and how to store it.
